Catherine Archer, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant seeing patients at Avance Care Psychiatry in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Cat earned her Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences from Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia. She went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. During her time at Duke, she completed clinical rotations across the state in Psychiatry as well as several other medical specialties.
Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Cat gained valuable experience working as a registered Radiographer, Medical Assistant, Clinical Applications Specialist, and Physician Experience Specialist. She has worked in a variety of fields, including Orthopedics, Pain Management, and Radiology. Cat believes in treating each patient as a unique individual with their own story and life experiences. She is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment, encouraging open communication, and partnering with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address both their health and personal goals.
Outside of work, Cat enjoys a wide range of hobbies. She spends her time on creative activities like art, knitting, and needlecraft, as well as practical hobbies such as reading, gardening, and cooking. Cat lives in Raleigh with her fiancé, their three cats—Charlie, Al, and Minnow—and their dog, Mark.
