About Avance Psychiatry Child and Adolescent Services
At Avance Psychiatry, we work with youth (ages 6 -25 years) and their families to address and overcome emotional, cognitive, and behavioral problems. Under the direction of John Looney, MD, MBA, Chief of this service, traditional and innovative treatments for children, adolescents, and college students are provided by psychiatrists, psychologists and licensed clinical therapists, who have specialized training in youth psychiatry and various therapeutic modalities. With access to an extensive network of specialists, Avance Psychiatry providers are well equipped to handle psychiatric problems that are complicated by neurological conditions, learning disabilities, substance abuse, cognitive challenges or other medical conditions. With very young children, pediatricians may be part of the team.
Informed by current research on medical treatments for behavioral problems in youth, Avance offers early interventions that can improve quality of life for both patient and family, enhance educational engagement, and prevent more serious problems later in life.
We are accepting new referrals.
Commercial insurances (BC/BS, Aetna, Cigna, Humana) and self-pay accepted.
