Dr. Sashalee Stewart is a board-certified psychiatrist and the inaugural Medical Director of the Avance Care Charlotte practice. She attended the University of South Florida in Tampa where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and later obtained her Medical Doctorate from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Stewart completed her residency in psychiatry at Boston Medical Center.
She has over 15 years of clinical experience providing patient-centered care for various psychiatric conditions. In addition to general psychiatric pathology, she has expertise in the treatment of women in the peripartum period. As mental health management is an area that is vast, complex, and developing, Dr. Stewart is focused on taking care of all in need. She is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association and of the NC Medical Society.
