Rob received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which included a year practicum in the UNC Department of Psychology community clinic.
Rob began working in behavioral health a decade ago, working with adolescents in a group setting. Since then, he has worked with homeless adults, college students, and adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses. In addition to outpatient psychotherapy, Rob has worked in several settings, such as providing mental health, crisis response, and substance use disorder treatment in a community setting, and substance use disorder treatment to young adults. Rob uses a person-in-environment perspective in working with his patients, focusing heavily on the therapeutic relationship to drive progress. He employs various evidence-based treatments to help people and their loved ones recover from substance use, insomnia, mood, anxiety, and other behavioral health concerns.
While not working with patients, you can find Rob running, reading, exploring new music, or working on a house project. His absolute favorite things are experimenting with new recipes and spending time with his loved ones, ideally at the same time. Rob is licensed in North Carolina and California.
