Jurate Brigham, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Avance Psychiatry in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Jura earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. After spending over six years as a registered nurse, she developed a strong interest in mental health, leading her to pursue advanced practice in psychiatry. She later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jura has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating various psychiatric conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and psychotic disorders. She is dedicated to helping her clients improve their mental health and overall well-being through a holistic approach that considers their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
Jura resides in Chapel Hill with her husband, their dog Ruby, and their cat Chloe. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, crocheting, baking, and traveling. As a Chapel Hill native, Jura is excited to give back to her community by being a part of the Avance Psychiatry team.
