Iris Drakeford, MS, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Avance Psychiatry in Chapel Hill, NC.
Iris obtained her Master in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and Iris has over two decades of experience providing an array of mental health services including supervisor, job coach, and counselor to multigenerational families and individuals. She has a client-centered therapeutic approach and uses techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Iris believes that each client is unique and brings a wealth of experiences in life. The client is supported with learning appropriate tools to aid in self-reflection and growth throughout the therapy process.
Iris is a wife and mother who enjoys traveling with her family, painting, and visiting peaceful bodies of water while listening to the sounds of nature. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
